AERIAL YOGA CLASSES

Just Breathe Yoga Center is excited to announce that we will offer Aerial Yoga classes beginning in March.  Aerial Yoga will help you experience your practice in a whole new way!  No experience required and all levels are welcome!

Aerial Yoga utilizes a silk fabric hammock as a prop to access traditional yoga poses.  Students can expect familiar postures like Tree Pose and Down Dog, but from entirely new angles and heights.  Gravity assists with proper alignment and allows space in the body. Postures involve support from the sling or complete surrender to the body without strain on the joints, neck or back. The classes will focus on strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility, before ending with a cocooned Savasana!

Intro to Aerial Yoga

If it's your first aerial class or if you want to learn more about the basics, our intro to aerial yoga will give you a better understanding of the hammocks and how we use them to assist our yoga practice. This format is for all levels.

Important Aerial Yoga Class Information​

  • Aerial Yoga is not included in the basic memberships.

  • Two person minimum for class.

  • You must sign up "ONLINE" at least 2 hours prior to class to allow for equipment setup.

  • 2-hour cancellation notice required, or class will be deducted as a no-show.

  • Arrive 15 minutes early so we can adjust your fabric to your height.

  • Please wear fitted, stretchy clothing that covers the back of the knees, armpits and torso. DO NOT wear anything with zippers or buttons.

  • No jewelry. (earrings, watches and bracelets can snag the soft silk fabrics)

  • Please do not FLIP, SPIN, or CLIMB onto the hammocks before or after ANY Aerial classes. Teacher’s direct guidance and supervision is required for ANY use of the hammocks.

  • You will need a Yoga mat 

  • No food or drink at least 2 hours prior to class

  • Avoid wearing hand or body lotions

  • Please check with your doctor to make sure being inverted in any yoga pose is right for you.

  • Classes are limited to 8 Students

Doctors approval is required if you have been diagnosed or are experiencing any of these symptoms:

  • Pregnant

  • Glaucoma

  • Untreated Hypertension

  • Recent Botox

  • Recent Surgery, including dental

  • Hernia

  • Vertigo

  • Head Injury

  • Severe Arthritis

  • Sinusitis

  • Hip Replacement

  • Stroke

  • Epilepsy

  • Seizures

  • Herniated or slipped disks
