Krishaunda’s first introduction to yoga was through the exercise channel on cable television back in 2008. Needing to relieve the stress of working full time, finishing up a Business Management degree at Kennesaw State University, and parenting her young daughter Trinity Faith, she found that she always felt so much calmer and relaxed after those TV sessions of deep breathing and gentle poses. Wondering how something so gentle and simple could have such a profound affect on her mind and body she started seeking yoga classes in and around her hometown of Atlanta, Ga.
After practicing at home off and on and trying different studios around town Krishaunda decided to deepen her knowledge of yoga and its history by enrolling in a teacher training program. Krishaunda finished her 200-Hour RYT Multi-Style teacher training at Active Sol Yoga. Having tried and enjoyed a variety of yoga styles including Hot, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Restorative; Krishaunda found her niche in practicing and teaching a mix of Vinyasa and Yin/Restorative. Having experienced first hand the affects of a consistent yoga practice, Krishaunda wants to share that experience with anyone seeking peace in this sometimes chaotic world.
