My name is Chuguluke Abudulimu, but everybody calls me Lucy. I started my yoga journey 6 years ago. In that time, I was going through a rough time because of my broken arm. In the beginning, I began to practice yoga to get stronger, then I realized yoga can heal not only the body but also settle the mind! It has changed and enriched every aspect of my life and relationship. For the first time in my life, I found intense healing, renewed strength and energy, confidence and joy, and I realized I needed yoga in my life, everyday!
In September 2015, I attended the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Flourish Yoga and graduated in March 2019. As soon as I graduated from the Flourish Yoga and Wellbeing, I began subbing and teaching. My yoga practice continues to guide me through all of life’s challenges and joys and I am so grateful of its benefits. This year in August, we moved back to Georgia. Another new beginning! As soon as we settled down, the first thing that I did was finding my new yoga home. I found Just Breathe Yoga Center here in Douglasville! I just love this place and I want to share with the people the gift that yoga gave me.
I enjoy all style of Asana, including Vinyasa and more recently discovered Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. I love the simple connection of breath and moment. It is empowering, centering and extremely calming! I always encourage my students to tune into their bodies through breath, asana and meditation.
I love teaching! Besides teaching yoga, I teach languages (English, Chinese, and Uyghur Turkish) online and at school. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my mom and my family.
