Laurie discovered the life changing effects of yoga and Pilates on the mind, body and soul after her healing phase from a car accident. Part of her journey, lead her to become a Certified Pilates Instructor of both mat and reformer through the Pilates Mind and Pilates Reformation Mat. After teaching Pilates for several years, it only seemed natural for her to purse her yoga certification and received her yoga certification through SCW Fitness Yoga.
Laurie has instructed one-on-one and group classes in a non-competitive environment to students of all ages and levels looking to build strength, flexibility, and proper body alignment since 2006. Laurie is a nurse professional and has a passion for anatomy and physiology. She believes having a detailed understanding of the physical body and how it operates enhances your ability to practice and instruct yoga. Her down-to-earth approach encourages students to feel comfortable, regardless of experience or physical ability.
